Sony 官方宣布 PlayStation 4 将会有模拟器来运行 PlayStation 2 的经典游戏。PlayStation 2 是家用电子游戏的重要转折，因此相信有不少玩家都很怀念那个时代的游戏。现在 Sony 已确定在北美和欧洲的 PS4 将可以率先玩到 1080p 画质的 《Dark Cloud》、《Grand Theft Auto III》、《Grand Theft Auto: Vice City》、《Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas》、《Rogue Galaxy》、《The Mark of Kri》、《Twisted Metal: Black》 和 《War of the Monsters》 这 8 款游戏。它们在 PlayStation Store 上的售价在 9.99-14.99 美元不等。
